The City of Craig is accepting bids for the 0.5 MG East Barclay Tank Rehabilitation Project. Bids will be due at the Council Chambers at City Hall, 300 West Fourth Street, Craig, Colorado 81625 at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at which time they will be opened and read aloud. Award of bid will be at the City Council meeting on Tuesday, July 28, 2020. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at 1:00 PM. Interested Bidders shall meet at the Water Treatment Plant, 111 Ranney Street, Craig, Colorado 81625.

No bid shall be withdrawn after opening the bid without the consent of the City of Craig for a period of 30 days after the scheduled time for opening of the bids. The owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive irregularity in the bids and in the bidding, and to award a Contract as they deem is in their best interest.

The bids must be completely filled out on the bid form provided. Bids shall be addressed to the City of Craig and shall have the name of the bidder and "0.5 MG East Barclay Tank Rehabilitation Project" written thereon.

The project generally consists of the following improvements to the existing 0.5 MG East Barclay, below-grade, concrete potable water storage tank:
Rehabilitation of the interior of the tank to include removal and replacement of existing overflow pipe; removal and replacement of existing drain gate valve and stem; concrete removal and replacement; surface preparation and recoating of interior ladder, supports and overflow pipe supports; replacement drill and epoxy anchors for existing ladder. Rehabilitation of the exterior of the tank to include removal and replacement of existing aluminum dome roof gaskets, sealants and associated hardware at all joints; removal and replacement of all flashing, counter-flashing, bird screens and associated attachment hardware around perimeter of existing dome roof-to-wall connection; and minor earthwork to expose existing roofing.

All bids must be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Bids will only be accepted from qualified contractors that have demonstrated experience in construction projects of this type. A Bid Bond, in the amount of 5% will be required and must accompany the bid. Performance and Payment Bonds will be required upon contract award.
